Irish Team to play Uruguay

All, Football

The internationals come thick and fast. Tomorrow Ireland take on Uruguay. With most the senior performers already back in England or elsewhere, the team barely resembles the one that got a vital win on Saturday.

Ireland team to play Uruguay: Westwood, Foley, O’Dea, Kelly (capt), Clark; Green, Fahey, Lawrence, McCarthy, Keogh; Long.

There are some interesting choices to be made with this line up and some questions to be answered.

1) Where will Ciaran Clarke play?

He has played in a variety of roles for Aston Villa this season, including midfield, but where will he fit in tomorrow? By the looks of it he will line up beside O’Dea in the centre with Kelly on the left. This will be an interesting experiment as Uruguay have some of the best attacking options in World football with Suarez and Forlan. Lets hope the two defenders are not over exposed.

2) Pass-masters?
